If you prefer to use Internet directions, use Westline Drive, Alameda 94501 for the
location, then follow our directions below for getting to our school on the
beach.
From San
Francisco and points North...
Take
the Bay Bridge (80 east) to 880 towards Alameda / San Jose.
Get off the freeway
at the Broadway/Alameda exit.
Make a right at the first traffic light (5th
Street). Stay to the right, follow the signs towards Alameda/Broadway, (look for
the pink Gingerbread House Restaurant on the right hand side.). Begin to move
over into the left lane.
Follow the sign (Route 61/Alameda), veer left under the
overpass into the Webster Street Tube.
While in the tube, move to the left lane
and prepare to exit left onto Constitution Way/Marina Village Parkway
immediately after the tunnel.
Pass through Atlantic intersection. (Walgreens/Kinkos
on the corner).
Pass through Buena Vista intersections. Cross through Lincoln
Avenue intersection (Constitution Way changes into 8th Street at this
intersection).
Continue on 8th Street. Pass through Central Avenue intersection.
Ball park, tennis courts on the right in a grassy park area.
Follow Eighth
Street to the third set of traffic lights (at Otis) and turn right into the
entrance of Crown Beach Memorial Park.
You will find us at the southern
(far) end of the parking lot. We are in the brown building physically on the
beach with the Boardsports School sign on it.
From the
East…
CA-24 W becomes I-980
W.
Take the 12TH STREET
exit. go 0.3 miles
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto
BRUSH ST. go 0.3 miles
Turn LEFT onto 5TH
ST. go 0.4 miles
Follow the sign (Route 61/Alameda), veer left under the

to High Street/Alameda onto Coliseum Way, Go .4 miles.
Turn Left on High Street,
Go 1.5 miles.
Turn Right on Otis Drive, go 2.1 miles.
Follow Otis until it ends and go straight
into Crown Beach Park.
You will find us at the southern
(far) end of the parking lot. We are in the brown building physically on the
beach with the Boardsports School sign on it.
Via Public
Transport
Take Bart to the Fruitvale
stop in Oakland. Then take Bus #63 to Crown Beach in Alameda. We are at the
south end of the parking lot in the brown building on the beach.
Parking
Fee
There is a fee for
parking in the lot, so don’t forget your wallet! Annual permits for parking
can be purchased at the guard shack for a nominal fee.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed into the
park ($2 fee) but NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH and must be on leash at all times.

Airport Blvd. Exit
Follow signs for Airport
Boulevard. Travel south on Airport Boulevard until you reach the left turn into
Coyote Point Recreation Area.
Go straight ahead to Coyote
Point Recreation Area.
Pay $5 to enter park at Ranger
Gate.
Take first left after entering
park.
Follow parking lot all the way
to end and look for our building at south end of parking lot. We are the beige
buildings and our signs and flags are easily visible.

East…
2008 Detour:

South to Broadway / Airport Blvd. Exit
Follow signs for Airport
