Tim, Kiteboarding Instructor

Tim is a great and devoted instructor who is ready to pass on his knowledge and
get you up and riding. He took lessons with us a few years ago and fell in love
with kiting...and could not resist sharing that passion with others by teaching.
Kirsten, Kiteboarding Instructor

Kirsten's enthusiasm for kiting is contagious. She loves to teach and her
excitement helps students to feel positive and excited about the sport.

Joe just moved
to the Bay Area from Wisconsin, where he taught snow kiting and windsurfing. He

Michael,
Kiteboarding Instructor

Michael has
been kiteboarding over over 7 years and teaching for 2. Our kiteboarding
guru is excited to get you into the sport. Not only is Michael a stellar
teacher and instructor, he is also a black belt in karate.

|
Mike, Kiteboarding Instructor

When Mike isn't teaching or hanging
with us in Alameda or San Mateo, you'll find him hitting it BIG on the
coast in the waves. He's been kiting for over 8 years, and is
always psyched to be getting others into the sport and sharing his
passion. His British accent and his 6'5" frame will give him away
at the beach.
Colin, Kiteboarding Instructor

I’ve been kiting for 6 years
and teaching for 5. I have taught sports for years, but especially love teaching
kiting because of how psyched people get (giddy like little kids) when they get the rush of
kiteboarding.

|
John, Kiteboarding Instructor

Kiteboarding
is the sport on which I measure all other sports. Once you get it you will
rearrange your life to accommodate riding. There is no better bang for your buck
than kiteboarding.
Benjamin, Kiteboarding Instructor

Not only is Benjamin a stellar kiteboarder and instructor, he just got his PhD
in mathematics at Berkeley! Did we mention he teaches gymnastics as well?
Benjamin's been kiting for over 5 years, teaching for 3 years, and will often be
one of the last kiters to leave the H2O.
Thomas, Kiteboarding Instructor

Thomas has been
kiting for 6 seasons and teaching for 2. He not is only passionate about riding,
but also says his happiest moments are getting new people stoked on kiting.

|
Jane, Kiteboarding Instructor

Rebecca and I quit our jobs to
run the school and shop, and I feel very lucky to call the beach my office. I love teaching beginners in
both sports as I get to see them get the thrill of riding out on the bay for the first time.
|
|
Rebecca, Kiteboarding Instructor (red rash
guard)

The best thing about teaching
windsurfing and kiteboarding is that they are sports everyone can learn in a
short period of time.
There is nothing better than being on the water.
|
|
Doug, Kiteboarding Instructor

I took
my first lesson in 2001 at Crown Beach with Boardsports and have been hooked
ever since. I will help you get through the typical
sticking points students have and onto the fun part as quickly as possible. I
have kited in Mexico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and
Hawaii.
|
|
Ella, Kiteboarding Instructor

Ella
has been kiting for 5 seasons and teaching for 3. Ella's riding and teaching skills are stellar
and she can often be spotted in local competitions. She's also
the go-to instructor if you're looking for lessons in French.
|
|
Peter, Kiteboarding Instructor

Peter is a
kind, gentle soul from Australia, with years of teaching experience. He has a
natural passion for teaching, and his patience helps students ease into
kiteboarding. When he is not teaching, he is ripping it up like the youngins! He
has been teaching with us for 3 years.
|
|
Chris, Kiteboarding Instructor

Chris is often seen at
3rd Ave tearing it up. He's
been kiting for 4 seasons and teaching for 2. He loves giving students a
solid foundation into kiteboarding.
|
|
Charlie, Kiteboarding Instructor

Charlie
has been kiteboarding for 7 years and teaching for 3. He loves leading at our kite clinics at the
Marina Green.
When he's not teaching and kiting at Crissy Field, Charlie is busy working on
the next Lucas film!

Jane, Windsurfing Instructor

I have
been windsurfing for 27 years and kiting for 3. Rebecca and I quit our jobs to

Rebecca, Windsurfing Instructor (red rash
guard)

I've
been windsurfing for 9 years and teaching for 7. The best thing about teaching
windsurfing and kiteboarding is that they are sports everyone can learn in a
short period of time.
There is nothing better than being on the water.
|
|
Kipps, Windsurfing Instructor

When not
teaching, Kipps can be seen shredding it up at Coyote Point on everything from
Formula gear to short boards. He has tons of teaching and gear expertise,
and can help students understand the finer points between all the different boards and sails.

|
Michelle, Windsurfing Instructor

"The best
thing about teaching windsurfing is being there when students experience the
sudden freedom and exhilaration of their first ride - when everything finally
clicks. I love to see them get excited because windsurfing rocks!"
Michelle
has been teaching with us 4 seasons after moving to the Bay Area from Wisconsin.
She has energy for days (as evidenced by her riding her
bike to and fro), and she is extremely dedicated in making sure her students enjoy the wind and
water.
|
|
Matt, Windsurfing Instructor

I have been windsurfing for 6
seasons and teaching for 5. I love teaching my favorite sport to people who then
discover it's their favorite sport!
|
|
Gavin, Windsurfing Instructor

"Teaching windsurfing is awesome. It's easy to learn and people have a blast
cruising around."
Look
for Gavin at locations like Larkspur and Berkeley where you'll see him looping,
jumping and mastering other freestyle tricks! |
|
Vanessa, Windsurfing Instructor
(pink beanie)

Vanessa is
our 17 year old fearless leader! She can be found helping out at the desk with
rentals, teaching beginners, teaching kid's camps, or being silly with Ella, her
16 year old kiteboarding counterpart! We have lots of juniors that we
mentor as instructors at our school.
|
|
Mike, Windsurfing Instructor

I've
been windsurfing for 16 years and helping to teach for 6. I love the enthusiasm
of the students and the "stoke factor" of windsurfing!
|
|
Cigdem, Windsurfing Instructor

Cigdem is passionate about windsurfing and teaching. She's been
windsurfing for 7 years and teaching for 5 seasons. She is fluent in
Turkish (as she's from Turkey) and she's a stellar cook. When not teaching
in Alameda, she can be seen at Berkeley or Sherman Island with the freestyle
crowd. |
|
David, Windsurfing Instructor

I've
been windsurfing for 7 years and teaching for 5. I teach snowboarding in the
winter up at Tahoe, and in the summer I enjoy helping people get into
windsurfing and get stoked on the sport.
|
|
Lora,
Windsurfing Instructor

I've
been windsurfing for 4 years and teaching for 3. I believe that two rules in
windsurfing also apply to life: "Look up" and "Never refuse help." |
|
Jonathan B, Windsurfing Instructor

Jonathan has been windsurfing for 4 years and teaching for 3. He's not
only a natural athlete, he's also a French trained chef and speaks fluent French.
Windsurfing lessons in French anyone?
|
|

lessons in Hebrew? Jonathan's your man!
